January 2010 Highlights

Well, we’ve made it past another year, another decade. Though it can be great to look back at the past years, it’s fun to see what’s coming up ahead of us. Highlights will be my way of emphasizing things I’m looking forward to each month.

1. Heroes

If you didn’t catch it this past Monday, the continuation of Heroes, Season 4 kicked off with a two episode premiere on the 4th. This highly anticipated continuation comes after their December break. Other things of note, starting on the 11th, Heroes will move to their previous time slot of 9/8c, as NBC’s Chuck is also moving back to their regular time.

2. No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle (Wii)

No More Heroes: DS, is the sequal to the 2008 Wii game, No More Heroes. I loved the first game, and I can’t wait for the sequel. This is just a very carefree game that involves sword play and cheesy lines. I don’t really know so much about the sequel as i did the original game, but I’m really excited about grabbing this game when it comes out on the 26th.

3. Psych season 4.5

Another one of my favorite shows continues this month. Psych comes back on the 27th from it’s winter break. I can not wait for it to come back on. If you are not familiar with Psych, I suggest you just start watching. It shouldn’t be too hard to pick up what’s going on, each episode pretty much stands alone, so check it out! The great people at USA are also holding a contest to send 2 lucky fans to the set. Of course, I’m going to win it, so you don’t have to enter in, i just wanted to tell you what I will be doing.

4. “a year in the life and teaching of Jesus”

My friend, Steven Dilla, has come up with a Gospel reading plan for the year that I’m going to be following. It starts up on the 10th, so what are you waiting for? Head over to Steven’s blog, Echoes of Redemption, and read more about the reading plan. Join us in getting into God’s word!
